Viola Davis, the star of ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder” and the highly anticipated Suicide Squad movie sat down with Vanity Fair for an interview and, according to the Emmy-winning actress, co-star Jared Leto “did some bad things.” Davis plays the squad’s director — Amanda “The Wall” Waller — and paints out some interesting details of life on set of the comic-book movie. “He gave some really horrific gifts,” Davis says.

“He had a henchman who would come into the rehearsal room … the henchman came in with a dead pig and plopped it on the table and then he walked out. And that was our introduction into Jared Leto.” Also referencing the rat Leto gave to co-star Margot Robbie during shooting, Davis continues, “Now I’m terrified as a person thinking ‘Is he crazy?’ but the second part was ‘Oh s**t! I got to have my stuff together.’”
Once Leto’s casting of The Joker was announced, a lot of criticism hit regarding the choice of actor to take on the role. These tactics, as well as the method work the actor allegedly brought to the production, may just be the work it takes to set his Joker apart from Heath Ledger’s.For those keeping score, when Ledger was originally announced to play the iconic role in 2008’s “The Dark Knight,” the same sort of vitriolic criticism hit the web. Now, his performance is considered legendary. From the looks of things, Leto’s take on the character will have people talking for a while. Will it stand up to Ledger or Nicholson? Nerd will have to wait a little while longer to find out as Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016. Until then check out some of the swag below!
